Among all kinds of plastic machinery, the core is the plastic extruder, which has become one of the widely used models in the plastic processing industry. From the use of the extruder to now, the extruder has developed rapidly and gradually formed a track in line with its development. China's plastic extruder market is developing rapidly. With the joint efforts of technology and R&D personnel in the industry, some major special models have independent R&D capabilities in China and enjoy independent intellectual property rights.

What are the components of the plastic pellet extruder?
The plastic extruder is used in the plastic configuration, filling, and extrusion process because of its advantages of low energy consumption and manufacturing cost. The plastic extruder machine is composed of a screw, ahead, a feeding device, a barrel, a transmission device, etc. According to the technological process, the plastic extruder can be divided into the power part and the heating part. The main component of the heating part is the barrel. The material barrel mainly includes 4 categories: integral material barrel, combined material barrel, IKV material barrel, and bimetallic material barrel. At present, the integral barrel is widely used in actual production.
How does the plastic extruder work?
The working principle of the main machine of the plastic extruderis that the plastic particles are added to the machine by the feeding hopper. With the rotation of the screw, the particles are continuously transported forward by the friction of the screw in the barrel. At the same time, during the conveying process, it is heated by the barrel and gradually melts to form a melt with good plasticity, which is gradually transported to the machine head. The molten material is formed after passing through the machine head to obtain the geometry and size of a certain section, such as forming the outer sheath of the cable. After cooling and shaping, the outer protective layer becomes a cable sheath with a fixed shape.
How many stages can the extrusion process be divided into?
According to the movement of the material in the barrel and its state, the extrusion process is divided into three stages: solid conveying stage, melting stage, and melt conveying stage.
Generally, the solid conveying section is on the side of the barrel close to the hopper, and the plastic particles enter the barrel from the feeding hopper. After being compacted, they are gradually transported forward to the head by the friction drag force of the screw. At this stage, the material must be heated from normal temperature to near the melting temperature, so more heat is required.
The melting section is the transition section between the solid conveying section and the melt conveying section. In the direction close to the head, immediately after the solid conveying section, it is generally located in the middle of the barrel. In the melting section, with the increase in temperature, the plastic particles melt into the melt.
The melt conveying section is close to the head after the melting section. When the material reaches this section through the melting section, its temperature, stress, viscosity, compactness, and flow rate gradually tend to be uniform, to prepare for smooth extrusion from the die. At this stage, it is very important to maintain the stability of melt temperature, pressure, and viscosity, so that the material can obtain accurate section shape, size and good surface brightness during die extrusion.
